Don't miss Salvo this summer

For the best in architectural salvage and industrial vintage, don't miss Salvo 2017

On a bright summer's day, does anything seem more appealing than spending a leisurely afternoon hunting for unique antique, vintage and salvage finds for your home and garden?

From the 23rd-25th June, the estate of Sir William McAlpine at Fawley Hill in Henley will play host to Salvo 2017. Widely regarded as the best salvage and reclamation fair in its field, visitors will be able to buy not just architectural salvage, but vintage homewares, mid-century pieces, decorative antiques and reclaimed industrial materials from over 80 different exhibitors.

This year, the fair also has a small Green Living festival, complete with both heritage and modern eco-friendly products, sustainable fashion and a delicious 'zero waste' pop-up restaurant by Silo, winner of The Observer Food award for Britain's best ethical restaurant (pictured below).

Established in 1991, Salvo is the world's first green architectural salvage fair, with over 1,000 tonnes of stock for sale. Alongside shopping the extraordinary selection of antique and vintage finds, we also recommend keeping your eye's peeled for Fawley Hill's restored Edwardian railway station and steam train, and Sir William McAlpine's very own c1927 cream and maroon showman's caravan.

Salvo Fair, Icehouse Lane, Henley-on-Thames, RG9 3AP. 23rd-25th June, opening times vary. For more information and to book tickets, call 01227 500485 or go to
